Back in February 2012, we informed you about an amazing freeware game that puts Nintendo’s characters into Super Mario Bros’ levels – a fan-made mashup that recreates the original Super Mario Bros. and allows you to play it as characters from other Nintendo games. Almost a year after the release of its 2.0 version, the team behind it has released a new trailer for its 3.0 version.
Super Mario Crossover 3.0 will have more levels that change based on difficulty and new skins. SMC 3.0 and will feature more new character skins than those shown in the trailer, as – according to Jay Pavlina – there is ‘so much stuff in the game it’s difficult to show it all.’
Super Mario Crossover 3.0 is planned for a May/June 2013 release, though no specific ETA has been announced as of yet.
Enjoy!
