Night Dive Studios has announced that its upcoming remake for System Shock has been delayed to 2018. According to a new FAQ that was issued today, Night Dive Studios aims to release System Shock by the second quarter of 2018.
System Shock will be coming on a lot of platforms (PC, Mac, Linux and current-gen consoles), however the team is not sure whether it will release simultaneously on all these platforms.
The team also announced that it has officially started Vertical Slice and will have some awesome stuff to show in the coming months.
So, System Shock fans, we strongly suggest forgetting this title (at least for now if you have not backed its Kickstarter campaign) as it won’t be coming out anytime soon.
Here is hoping that the final product will be worth the wait!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
