Prime Matter has announced that System Shock Remake has been delayed until May 30th. Prime Matter and Nightdive had hoped to bring the game to market by the end of March, but that turned out to be just beyond their reach. And, according to numerous reports from early backers, the remake does indeed need these extra two months.
System Shock Remake will combine the cult gameplay of the iconic original game with all-new HD visuals. Players can also expected updated controls, an overhauled interface and all-new sounds and music.
Furthermore, the game will have some never before seen enemies and numerous QoL gameplay tweaks. There will also be a revamped hacking system and visceral new combat options featuring a brutal dismemberment system.
Players will be able to use a combination of stealth, cunning and futuristic weaponry to make their way through Citadel Station’s all-new areas. Additionally, players will encounter traps, puzzles and secrets in their quest to try and save Earth from destruction.
