Bohemia Interactive has just announced that its brand new Helicopter game, Take on Helicopters which immerses players within beautifully rich landscapes and an authentic helicopter experience, will include technology supporting the revolutionary controller TrackIR.
Players will be able to experience real time 3D view control in video games and simulations just by moving your head. Track IR is the only true 6DOF (six degrees of freedom) head tracking system of its kind. Take On Helicopters promises to offer a new level of realism and excitement with the TrackIR support.
Bohemia Interactive´s CEO Marek Spanel said:
“Our military simulators from the Arma series have been providing infinite fun and creativity for nearly a decade now. Helicopters were always an important part of our games and we feel it is time to give them some proper polish in a dedicated project. Take On Helicopters is an accessible yet very authentic helicopter game, which challenges players to prove their flight skills in the rich environments of North America and South Asia.”
Take On Helicopters is slated for an October 27th release exclusively on the PC!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
