The team behind the Definitive Edition mods for the first four Grand Theft Auto games have revealed that the mod for GTA IV has been taken down.
Bad news guys. Appreciated if u got ppl to raise awareness / spread the word as much as possible.
I knew this day was coming
Here we are with a DMCA by Rockstar (I assume) on our GTAIV DE patch.
Well, I suppose we need to remove all GTAIV related stuff from the website. :/ pic.twitter.com/WUjKRluhXl— D.E.P | Definitive Edition Project (@d_e_p_official) September 18, 2022
Grand Theft Auto 4 Definitive Edition Mod was a graphical overhaul for Rockstar’s classic game. The mod attempted to improve the graphics of GTA 4 with new textures and effects. For what it’s worth, the Definitive Edition mods for the first three GTA games are still available for download.
Interestingly enough, GTA IV Ultimately Beautiful Edition has also been taken down. Now I don’t know the reasons why this particular mod is no longer available. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Take-Two is also responsible for this. After all, the company has shut down A LOT of mods for its classic Grand Theft Auto games.
Speaking of GTA 4, here are some cool mods that you can check out. This mod restores the game’s multiplayer experience, while this one brings the capital of Poland to the game. Moreover, there is a cool mod that adds to the game vehicles from 1950-1993, as well as a New York City Name-Conversion Mod. And lastly, iCEnhancer 4 & RevIVe Mod will most likely soon come out.
Stay tuned for more!
