Electronic Arts has shared an official gameplay trailer for its upcoming metroidvania-style adventure game, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. Moreover, the publisher released a PC demo that you can download right now on Steam.
In the trailer, Abubakar Salim, the founder of Surgent Studios and a BAFTA-nominated actor, shares some details about the Sun and Moon masks in the game. These masks have special powers from the cosmos, and you can make them even cooler by upgrading them. Doing this unlocks awesome new skills to beat bad guys and find new ways to move around the game.
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU will feature cool 2.5D graphics and vibrant environments filled with lots of colors. The story is inspired by Abubakar Salim’s own experience dealing with the loss of his father and their strong bond over video games. Salim is also the founder of Surgent Studios.
EA has also shared the official PC system requirements for this title. PC gamers will at least need an Intel i7 7700 or AMD Ryzen 2600 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 580. With these PC specs, you’ll be able to run it at 1080p/60fps on Low Settings. The game will also require 30GB of free disk space.
For gaming at 1080p/60fps on Standard Graphics, you’ll need an Intel i7 7700 or AMD Ryzen 2600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or an AMD Radeon RX Vega-56.
EA will release Tales of Kenzera: ZAU on April 23rd. And, as with most of EA’s PC releases, it will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
You can download the PC demo from Steam right now.
Enjoy!
