Przemyslaw Zaworski has informed us about the incredible real-time terrain deformation system that will be featured in Tank Mechanic Simulator. This deformation system is flexible and seamlessly works together with all modern rendering techniques, includes DX11 tessellation and physically based lighting, and its tech demo is available for download.
This tech demo simply looks stunning. Tank Mechanic Simulator uses the Unity Engine and currently, its main physics is calculated by the CPU, though the team hopes to implement GPU accelerated collision detection in the future. The deformation system is a custom solution created by the development team.
Those interested can download the Tank Mechanic Simulator terrain deformation tech demo from here. You can also visit the game’s official website for more details.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
