Last week, Techland revealed that it will share some new development updates for Dying Light 2 on March 17th. However, and according to its official Discord channel, there won’t be any release date announcement.
As a Dying Light 2 moderator confirmed on Discord, people should keep their expectations in check. While the team won’t announce a cancellation, it will also NOT announce a release date. This will be a dev update and nothing more.
In similar news, a couple of days ago, Techland claimed that the game is not in development hell, and that it announced it too early. Additionally, the team is currently testing new technologies for it.
“Afaik the definition of a dev hell requires the game to not make any development progress, while DL2 keeps moving forward,” the response on Twitter said.
We announced the game too early but it’s far from being in a dev hell.”
