As promised, Techland released a development update video for Dying Light 2. However, and as we predicted, the team did not reveal anything meaningful. Instead, it is asking its fans to trust them, and that it will be talking about it soon.
At the end of this update video, the team shared some new in-engine footage. This is a teaser of a future gameplay video/trailer that will most likely come out in a few months.
Seriously, this dev update was a bit meaningless. The team did not address the game’s development hell rumors. Or the fact that during the game’s development, its writer, Pawel Selinger, left Techland. We’ve seen such dev updates from numerous studios without hyping them so yeah, get ready to be disappointed.
Lastly, there is a “2021” at the end of the video. However, and given what we know so far about the game, I’m almost certain that it will be delayed until 2022.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted about the game’s progress, so stay tuned for more!
