Terminator Survivors feature

Terminator: Survivors has been delayed until 2025

NACON has announced that the early access release on PC (Steam) for Terminator: Survivors has been delayed until 2025. The game was originally meant to hit Steam EA on October 24th.

NACON stated that it needs more time to build a post-apocalyptic world that lives up to the franchise, and to provide an experience that fully meets the players’ expectations.

Marco Ponte, CEO & Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan, said:

“This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality.

On behalf of the NACON Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for the support. We’ll be back.”

Terminator: Survivors will be powered by Unreal Engine 5 (though there is no word on whether it will take full advantage of Nanite and Lumen).

The game will be fully playable in a single-player offline mode, through an original story. Moreover, players will be able to team up with three friends in order to play in co-op. Right now, the game will be PvE, and there are no plans to add PvP.

NACON says the game will have a cool new story along with extra stories and missions. These stories will explain more about the world and the people in it. And on the way, you’ll meet famous characters from the movies and some new ones too.

Players will start their journey with an existing base, tied to the game’s story. Then, they will have the opportunity to expand their base through constructing and enhancing facilities. So, from the sound of it, the game won’t be focusing on its base-building mechanics.

Finally, the game will have driveable vehicles. The devs say that the driving mechanics will make exploring fun and help you work together with friends.

Stay tuned for more!
