NACON has shared the first official details about its upcoming survival open-world game set in the Terminator universe, Terminator: Survivors. Moreover, the publisher stated that the game will hit Steam Early Access on October 24th, 2024.
Terminator: Survivors is set in the aftermath of Judgment Day. Players will explore the open world to discover the key materials and survivors they need to advance their home base. Players will grow the remnants of humanity at a home base they’ll use to establish a new foothold for humanity and stand tall against the machine threat. The game will support solo and co-op modes (with up to three friends). Furthermore, you’ll meet both iconic and new characters.
Terminator: Survivors is being developed by Nacon Studio Milan. That’s the studio behind TT Isle Of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 and RIMS Racing. I’m just mentioning this because some may have thought that this was from the creators of Terminator: Resistance. No, Teyon is not the team developing it.
Finally, the developers claim that the game will focus on both action and stealth. In some situations, a stealthy approach may be better than coming out with guns blazing.
To be honest, I was kind of expecting this to be a more story-driven single-player game. Instead, we’ll get another co-op multiplayer survival game. Yes, it will be playable in solo mode. However, this sounds just like your typical open-world post-apocalyptic online survival game. I really hope to be proven wrong. However, I’ve lost my interest in this game after this full reveal.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
