Great news for all indie fans out there, as Headup Games announced today that they are securing the worldwide retail publishing & distribution rights for the Collector’s Edition of Terraria as well as the European rights to The Binding of Isaac. This is awesome as a lot of PC gamers want a box version of their games and some of them are not even bothered with buying their digital versions. Both Terraria and The Binding of Isaac are great and we hope to see more indie games in retail form.
The Binding of Isaac is Edmund McMillen’s critically acclaimed and slightly disturbing indie dungeon crawler. In Q1 2012, Headup Games will deliver the Holy Edition to its retail partners, containing several physical additions to please every fans darkest desire.
Also scheduled for Q1 2012 is the Collector’s Edition of Terraria, the highly unique and very well received sandbox action-adventure RPG. The retail version will for the first time since launch be localized into further languages besides English. The Collector’s Edition will also contain various goodies, including potential exclusive game content.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
