A few days ago, we informed you about a first-person mod for Mass Effect 2. Created by modder LordEmil1, this unofficial first-person mode let you explore the environments of Bioware’s game via a new perspective.
However, the mod was only meant to be used in order to explore the game’s environments and not for combat. After numerous demands for Combat support though, LordEmil1 released a brand new version that lets you fight the Reapers via a first-person camera viewpoint.
The modder stated that there are some major issues with the camera clipping through Shepard’s body and head that cannot be fixed. As such, you should consider this FPS combat mode an experimental mode and nothing more. Still, it’s really cool playing Mass Effect 2 this way so you should at least test it.
In order to install this mod, you’ll have to download it from here, go to ME2’s Install Directory (usually located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect 2
3), and then drag and Drop the Biogame Folder into the Mass Effect 2 install directory.
Those that are not interested in downloading the mod can at least get an idea of what the first-person combat mechanics look like in the following video.
Have fun everyone!
