WorldsFactory had an interesting interview with The Astronauts’ Adrian Chmielarz about their upcoming adventure game, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter started as a PC-exclusive title and as you may have guessed, a lot of PC gamers were a bit worried when the team revealed its plans to bring this game to Sony’s current-gen console, PS4.
Thankfully, The Astronauts has not turned its back to the PC crowd. Instead of working simultaneously on both versions, the team decided to focus all its strength on the PC version, and begin working on the PS4 build once the PC version is out.
As Adrian told WorldsFactory:
“We haven’t really started with PS4 yet. I mean, yes, we took a look and even had one of the levels up and running, but in the end we have decided to focus 100% on the PC first. Only after the game is released on PC we will go back and continue PS4 development.”
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is currently planned for release later this month. We’ve contacted The Astronauts and we’ll – hopefully – have more tech stuff to share for this game prior to its release.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
