Brilliant Game Studios has announced that a free demo for its open world first-person fantasy co-op RPG, The Black Masses, will come out on October 17th. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new trailer that you can find below.
In The Black Masses, players will be able to explore a 16 square kilometer island. This island will be populated by hundreds of thousands of possessed inhabitants. Players will escape the hordes by traversing buildings and obstacles with a new parkour system, or face them head on with powerful abilities and immersive first person combat.
The Black Masses is a small budget game that seems pretty interesting, at least in our opinion. The game will be using Unity Engine and promises to feature next generation crowd rendering tech.
Furthermore, the game will sport 10K zombies, dismemberment & procedural wounding system. The Black Masses will have accurate reflections and refractions, and will also feature physically based rendering. It will also feature dynamic Global Illumination, high resolution textures, volumetric lighting and HDR lighting.
Enjoy the following trailer and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
