Now that was quick. Yesterday we reported about an incoming FOV patch for the PC version of The Darkness 2 and guess what, the patch has been deployed on Steam and is available as we speak. Although we don’t have any release notes about it, we do know that it includes a FOV slider to adjust the in-game field of view. As always, the update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Below you will also find TotalBiscuit’s video about the FOV that started all this thing. Enjoy!
Here is the update changelog:
– Widescreen FOV (Field of View) support
– Various fixes for extra-wide resolutions
– Title now retains a very wide screen resolution when changing any video option from the graphics options menu
– Added an “aspect ratio” toggle
– Can choose between 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and Auto
– nVidia 3D fixes for shadows + now we have 3D reticule & objective markers
– Additional Bug fixes
