During its E3 2018 conference, Bethesda has officially announced that it is working on the next part in the Elder Scrolls series, The Elder Scrolls 6. Naturally, the publisher has also released an announcement/teaser trailer that you can watch below.
Unfortunately, The Elder Scrolls VI is currently in a pre-production phase. This means that the game won’t be released anytime soon and similarly to Starfield, we expect this to hit next-gen platforms (obviously including the PC).
And to be honest, this does not really surprise us. Back in 2016, Todd Howard claimed that while the team has been working on Elder Scrolls 6, it was ways off.
“It’s something we love. But it is—I have to be careful what I say—it’s a very long way off. I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, ‘That sounds like you don’t even have the technology—how long is that going to take?’ And so it’s something that’s going to take a lot of time, what we have in mind for that game.”
So yeah, don’t expect this new Elder Scrolls game anytime soon. Until we have more details about it, enjoy its announcement trailer!
