A few days ago, we informed you about a new CPU performance boost tool that was made by Alexander Blade and is based on Arisu’s TESV: Acceleration Layer tool. The good thing about SkyBoost is that it does not require the SKSE, which basically means that you simply install this plugin – like most others – and you are good to go. Alexander has just released a new version of this mod, that offers a higher performance boost than its previous version.
This R3 version of SkyBoost offers better performance and is fully compatible with the latest version of Skyrim. Moreover, this mod is compatible with SkyUI, a UI that is highly recommended to every Skyrim player.
In addition, and contrary to Arisu’s TESV: Acceleration Layer, SkyBoost works perfectly with Windows 8. So, this mod is pretty much essential to all those who are beta testing Microsoft’s new OS and want to get advantage of these CPU optimizations.
Those interested can download the latest version SkyBoost from here.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
