GloveCat has informed us about the Kickstarter campaign for The Intergalactic Trashman. The Intergalactic Trashman is a 2D platformer and space exploration game. Its Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $35K, and GloveCat wants to achieve a ‘sandbox’ vibe in a 2D game, a sensation of continuity, cohesion and hugeness.
According to the team, the game is currently 30% complete with a solid base of code and art. The team claimed that this Kickstarter will help it to further improve the current game mechanics, add the storytelling component and mission system to the game, and design the stages.
In The Intergalactic Trashman, you play as Kepler, the main character, who is always accompanied by his loyal partner Xana, a personal assistant who helps him to communicate with everyone. Kepler and Xana have a spaceship which will let them navigate through space, collect trash, explore planets… and all of this while they are dealing with enemies and solving puzzles.
The Intergalactic Trashman is inspired by Megaman, Super Mario and Metal Slug, or most recent and prominent platform games like Rayman Origins/Legends and scrolling shooters like Tyrian or Raptor.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
