Daedalic Entertainment has announced a new narrative-driven action adventure game based on the Lord of the Rings universe, called The Lords of the Rings – Gollum. The Lords of the Rings – Gollum promises to stay true to the original metarial and will feature new events and details related to Gollum’s journey.
Daedalic CEO Carsten Fichtelmann said:
“We tell Gollum’s story from a perspective never seen before, in any storytelling medium, all the while staying true to the legendary books of J.R.R. Tolkien. At a time when the games industry is undergoing structural changes and seeing new business models evolve, we are excited to realize a huge new production based on a story that has stayed fresh and relevant for more than 60 years.”
Unfortunately, Daedalic has not released any screenshots or trailer for this new TLOTR game. According to the press release, the game will be using Unreal Engine, is planned for a 2021 release, and more TLOTR games will be developed (as part of the partnership between Daedalic and Middle-earth Enterprises).

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
