According to GWW, the upcoming Batman game from Warner Bros Montreal will be a ‘soft reboot’ of the Batman: Arkham series. Unfortunately these news might disappoint some fans who were hoping for a continuation of the series.
WB Montreal was considering to make a sequel to Arkham Knight with Damian Wayne, who is the genetically engineered son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. Damian is the fifth character to assume the role of Robin, Batman’s vigilante partner. Sadly the project got cancelled before 2016’s Game Awards.
The new Batman is planned to be released this Fall and Rocksteady Studios will follow up with a next-gen DC game. According to the rumors a next-gen Superman title is also in the works, but not from Rocksteady.
The new Batman game will have a playable Batfamily, the infamous Court of Owls and it will feature cooperative gameplay. Of course nothing is officially confirmed yet.
Thanks GWW.
Chris was born in the early 80’s along with the very birth of home gaming. After spending many maaany drachmas on arcades, his father decided to buy him a PC instead of going bankrupt. He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. He is always honest and will never hesitate to give his true opinion on a game no matter what. Loves stealth games and dislikes microtsansactions, DLC and pre-ordering…who doesn’t after all?!
