A few days ago, we informed you about RyujiNX running some Nintendo Switch games. However, it appears that this isn’t the only Nintendo Switch emulator that can run games. The team behind yuzu has also announced that its emulator is also able to run the games that RyujiNX runs.
This basically means that yuzu can currently run The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, Puyo Puyo Tetris and Cave Story+. As with RyujiNX, though, performance is not that great.
Its development team currently has two major development fronts that are ongoing.
“First, we are trying to get more games booting further, to the point that they are trying to render frames, and second, to try to emulate the Nvidia Maxwell GPU. Even for simple games such as these, Maxwell emulation has shown to be quite challenging – and we suspect that this will be our biggest focus in the coming months.”
All in all, these are exciting times for Nintendo Switch fans!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
