Earlier this month, we informed you about the release of the first unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda, Open Ocarina. However, that wasn’t the only PC port that was under development. Ship of Harkinian is another unofficial port and last week, its development team released its first public version.
Ship of Harkinian is a PC port of OoT allowing you to enjoy the game with modern controls, widescreen, high-resolution, gyroscopy and other great features.
This first version lacks a number of features, such as support for high framerates. Still, PC gamers can now enjoy the game in widescreen, which is cool.
Additionally, Ship of Harkinian supports both OpenGL and DirectX 11. For what it’s worth, PC gamers can change the renderer by opening the shipofharkinian.ini configuration file in notepad. Then, they’ll have to add “sdl” to “gfx backend” for OpenGL or leave blank for DirectX.
You can download this second unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time from here.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
