Ubisoft has announced that The Settlers will release on the PC in 2020. Moreover, the team revealed more details about the Glory winning strategy, as well as a brand new gameplay trailer.

Led by Volker Wertich, the original creator of the franchise, and developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, the latest version of The Settlers brings back the best, modernized elements from previous The Settlers titles. The game promises to combine these elements with brand new features and gameplay systems.

Going into more details, The Settlers combines a fresh take on the familiar gameplay mechanics of the series with new features like a new food system and a motivational meta-game to create a unique game experience. The campaign and optional side missions can be played either solo or co-operative.

The game will also offer various online multiplayer modes. According to Ubisoft, the game will also have emotional storylines. Players will watch as thousands of settlers live their lives and complete their daily work.

As we’ve already reported, The Settlers will be using Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop engine. As such, the game promises to set a new visual benchmark in the build-up strategy genre.
