You know what? Just go ahead and purchase a second copy of The Witcher 2. Go on, purchase this game one more time because the team behind it deserves your respect. After those awful ‘GRID 2’ news, here we are now with CD Projekt RED announcing mod tools for the PC version of The Witcher 2. And yes, like always, these mod tools will be released for free (and not in a form of a paid DLC like most companies would do these days).
According to a press release, CD Projekt RED will be attending this years Gamescom which takes place in Cologne, Germany next week. The company will be hosting a series of behind closed doors, and exclusive media presentations where they will be showing the REDkit, a long-awaited set of tools for modders which will allow any player to create their own content for the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, such as new, non-linear adventures, great looking locations and much more.
No release date has been announced as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
