Modder ‘Aleks Vuckovic’ has released a brand new version of The Witcher 3 Redux. According to the changelog, Version 2.9 adds a new monster ability, Elemental Armor. This new ability is available to most elementals and all leshens and spriggans. This new ability makes these monsters immune to fast attacks unless players use a Dimeritium bomb.
Moreover, Version 2.9 tweaks fatigue and ranged attacks. Going into more details, it makes it so that fatigue can also slow down Adrenaline Generation. On the other hand, ranged attacks (Crossbow bolts and Bombs) no longer increase Vampire Adrenaline.
Additionally, it fixes a bug where Yrden Magic Trap bolts were increasing Vampire Adrenaline. It also lowers the base damage resistances for elementals, leshens and spriggans to balance out Elemental Armor buffs.
Lastly, Quen Tree skill “Exploding Shield” now deals shock damage instead of physical damage when it breaks. Also, Shock Damage now ignores Armor.
In case you weren’t aware of, this mod is a major gameplay overhaul for CD Projekt RED’s RPG. Its main purpose, according to the modder, is to make the gameplay feel more realistic and lore friendly where preperation is key.
