Two days ago, we informed you about the 1.07 patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. And today, a 2.2GB update was rolled out on Steam. However, this is not the highly anticipated patch that – among other things – brings a new alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
As CD Projekt RED’s Lukasz Babiel said, this update is basically the game’s artpack (artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, wallpapers etc.).
“That’s an update of our artpack (artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, wallpapers etc.). You can check them out by going to: Properties (from Library view)->Local files->Browse local files. Files are in main game folder.”
But what about the new gameplay patch for The Witcher 3? According to Lukasz, CD Projekt RED aims to release this new patch simultaneously on all platforms, something that will definitely disappoint a number of PC gamers as they’ll have to wait for the console certification until they can get their hands on it.
“We’re working on it, currently we don’t have any confirmed ETA as we want to release it in the same time on all platforms (PC, Xbox One, PS4). But we want to make it live as soon as possible, so we can get back to remaining free DLCs.”
