Earlier this month, we informed you about a mod for Halo: Reach that aimed to make the game play similar to the older Halo titles. And today, we are bringing you the complete opposite mod. As such, this mod plans to make the first Halo feel more like Halo: Reach.
Going into more details, Halo CE Reach aims to replace all vehicles and weapons, for both the single-player and multiplayer modes, with those from Halo Reach. Alongside the new vehicles and weapons, this mod also brings a number of balance adjustments.
For example, allies are now immune to friendly fire & vehicle splattering. The Banshee received a small health buff and players can now take down with one shot (using PP overcharge & SR) the flood carrier. The mod also nerfs the explosive damage & combat form melee attack of Flood Carrier, and brings a small buff to both ally & player health/shield.
Lastly, JerryHusky and PythonBlue listed some of the features that they’d love to implement in future releases. The modders would like to add the Reach HUD, make all vehicles destructible, and fix minor graphics and sound glitches. Moreover, they’d like to fix the Warthog Gatling barrels from spinning. They’d also make it possible so you can man the MG turret on both tanks.
JerryHusky claimed that he doesn’t currently have the skills to implement these features to the mod. Still, the modder wants to expand the team so he can add them in a future version.

Have fun!
