Modder ‘parapara’ has released a new mod for Halo 3 that allows you to play its campaign mode in third-person mode. This mod supports both solo and co-op modes. Naturally, though, every user must have the mod installed, otherwise you won’t be able to play in co-op.
This is a pretty simple mod that enables a third-person camera viewpoint. The game has a full 3D model for Master Chief, so you can expect basically everything; from reloading and changing weapons to proper running/walking/jumping mechanics.
In order to install the mod, you’ll have to place the map files in your steam/steamapps/common/halomasterchiefcollection/halo3/maps folder. Do note that you’ll also have to disable Easy Anticheat, otherwise the mod will not work.
You can download this third-person mod for Halo 3 from here. Below you can also find a short video that showcases the mod in action.
Halo 3 has just been released on the PC and this is, at least in our opinion, its first must-have mod. For those wondering, its PC version is rock solid and you can find our PC Port Report here.
Have fun!
