Now here is something really cool for all our old-school fans. Modder ‘Z00L’ has released the Half-Nuked mod for Valve’s classic Half Life that brings Duke Nukem’s voice, 3D player model and weapons to it.
This is a really cool way to replay this classic first-person title, though I have to say that the physics need a little more polish. Nevertheless, it’s cool witnessing the Duke in another FPS.
Surprisingly enough, this mod works pretty well. All weapons work fine and even Duke’s iconic kick attack has been implemented. Z00L has done an incredible work, though I feel that the enemy AI needs some tweaks and enhancements.
Those interested can download the mod from here. The modder has also released a video showcasing his mod that you can view below. Obviously, it will give you an idea of what you can expect from it, so be sure to watch it.
Have fun!
