Modder ‘Negate The Stars’ has released pretty cool mod that will please a lot of die-hard Doom/Quake fans. As the title suggests, this mod brings rocket jumping to Doom Eternal. Thus, we strongly suggest downloading and using it.
In case you weren’t aware of, Rocket Jumping is the technique of using the explosion of a rocket launcher to launch the shooter. The aim of this technique is to reach heights and distances that standard character movement cannot achieve.
This Rocket Jumping mod comes in three versions. The first one retails the default full damage, while the second one halves the damage that rockets do to half. The third version does not feature any damage, and is essential for those that are not used to using Rocket Jumping.
The mod also sets the “out of bounds” or “world damage” to zero. According to the modder, Doom Eternal comes with many invisible walls that may throw you out of bounds. As such, this tweak will allow you to use Rocket Jumping everywhere.
You can download the mod from here. In order to install it, the modder suggests following the eternal-faq section of the DOOM 2016+ Modding discord channel so that you can enable mods for Doom Eternal.
We also suggest taking a look at some other Doom Eternal mods, like the Restored Graphics Effects Mod, a Doom Eternal Gameplay Overhaul Mod and the Particles 9000 Mod.
Have fun!
