Acid Nerve and Devolver Digital announced today the release of Titan Souls on Steam. In order to celebrate this announcement, Devolver has also released the game’s launch trailer that can be viewed below.
Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker said:
“While I couldn’t be more proud of Titan Souls I can’t help thinking that it would have been more profitable as a free-to-play game. If we simply charged one dollar per life I would be a rich man. Well, a richer man. The point is – I’m rich.”
Titan Souls started as a game jam project between Mark Foster, David Fenn, and Andrew Gleeson for Ludum Dare 28 under the prompt “you only get one” leading the single shot, single hit point the game has become known for during development.
Titan Souls is a 2D retro isometric action adventure, and promises to feature colossal titans to fight, a simple combat system and lots of secret areas to explore.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
