All hell broke loose last week when Respawn Entertainment decided to remove both Pilot Hunter and Capture The Flag public playlists from Titanfall. Well, good news everyone as CTF is back with a punch. Respawn has tweaked CTF’s public playlists, meaning that players will be able to enjoy this mode via updated matchmaking methods.
As Respawn claimed:
“Well, first, we’re bringing the CTF playlist back on PC. Furthermore, we’re introducing a test of even wider region searches. If you’re searching for 5 minutes without starting a game, Stryder will eventually widen your search to include neighboring continents. This means you might end up in a game with a much higher ping than you’re used to, but as players pointed out; playing is preferred to not playing at all!”
So there you have it everyone. CTF is back. According to Respawn, only 1% was playing this mode but this does not justify the team’s decision to remove it. Still, we have to congratulate them for bringing it back with this new matchmaking functionality.
Respawn also tried to explain why Matchmaking is better than Server Lists. They aren’t, despite the company’s effort to prove otherwise. But that’s another topic.
Enjoy!
