As promised, Nicobass has released a public demo for his remake of Tomb Raider 2 in Unreal Engine 4. This demo includes a big part of the Great wall level and lasts approximately one hour. Moreover, Nicobass revealed the minimum PC specs that gamers will need in order to run Tomb Raider The Dagger Of Xian.
Tomb Raider The Dagger Of Xian is a fan remake of the second Tomb Raider game in Unreal Engine 4. Now we know that some will comment about an incoming C&D letter, however Crystal Dynamics has given the green light (as long as it’s not monetized). So yeah, we don’t expect Square Enix to issue one.
PC gamers will need at least a DX11 graphics card, 4GB of RAM (though Nicobass suggests 8GB), Windows 7 64-bit and 6GB of free disk space. Nicobass has not listed any CPU requirements, so we are pretty sure that even modern-day dual-cores will be able to run it.
Those interested can download the demo from here, and below you can find some installation instructions.
- Download the demo
- Use winrar or else to extract everything in a new folder
- If you need to install some prerequisite (Framework 3.5 etc…) go to Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us and execute UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe
- Launch TombRaiderDOX.exe
Have fun!
