Well, it was to be expected. How could Relic Games attract more crowd? By simply providing what the others denied them. Diablo fans are still on the edge after today’s news but if you can forget it for a moment and focus on another game, you may actually find a great replacement. Yeap, you read it right. A replacement. Nothing is forever after all.
Runic Games revealed via their Twitter Account that Torchlight 2 will still support mods, LAN play, and will be a one time purchase. Damn straight right. Runic is taking advantage of Blizzard’s awkward behaviour. And hopefully Torchlight 2 will grow larger and will be able to compete against Diablo III.
Torchlight 2 is currently slated for a 2011 release on PC and Mac!
John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
