Tribes fans, get ready as the highly anticipated closed beta phase of Tribes: Ascend will start on November 4th. The closed beta phase was originally planned to start on September but there were a few adjustments that the team wanted to make before the start of that phase and was eventually delayed.
As HiRez Studios’ Todd Harris told to Cyberlink:
“We have a date. The team is working hard for closed beta to start on Friday, November fourth, so a few weeks away. We plan on announcing that more broadly next week.”
Additionally – and contrary to the alpha phase, the closed beta will feature character progression elements. And as you may have guessed, the beta phase will sport changes or improvements that are based on feedback from the alpha testing group.
Tribes: Ascend is a free-to-play re-imagining of the classic team multiplayer shooter and is currently slated for a 2012 release on the PC.
