Remember Hyper Scape? You know, Ubisoft’s battle royale game? Well, the French company has just revealed that it will be shutting down its servers on April 28th.
Hyper Scape came out on July 12th, 2020. This basically means that the game will be shut down one and a half years after its launch.
Hyper Scape was an urban futuristic free-to-play Battle Royale where 100 Contenders engaged in FPS close-quarters and fast-paced matches to become the next global superstar.
In Hyper Scape, players explored Neo Arcadia’s streets and rooftops for “intense firefights, cat-and-mouse chases, and unprecedented verticality.” The game supported both solo and squad modes. Furthermore, it had various customization options, new gameplay opportunities, and map changes.
And that is that. This is yet another game that tried to copy other successful titles of its genres. And, to be honest, I never really enjoyed Hyper Scape. Let’s hope that Ubisoft will not f’ up its other franchises (I know, I know… too late for that…).

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
