Ubisoft has announced that it will be offering Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s upcoming Dead Kings DLC completely free to all of its owners. That’s one way – according to Yannis Mallat, CEO at Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto – to show the company’s appreciation to all gamers who have suffered from the game’s rocky launch. In addition, all Season Pass owners of Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be offered the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free.
As Mallat claimed:
“To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free.”
According to Ubisoft, more details on the offer for Season Pass holders can be found at AC Unity’s FAQ.
Mallat also claimed that Ubisoft will be delivering further fixes for other issues that have been reported by Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s community.
Mallat concluded that players should keep their feedback coming in order for them to identify and fix all issues related to this title.
“It [players’ feedback] has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin’s Creed Unity experience. “
Here is hoping that Ubisoft will be able to fix both Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4. And yes, those games should not have been released in their initial states, no doubt about that.
The ball is now in Ubisoft’s court.
