Now this is simply amazing. Despite the fact that Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 never came to the PC, we’re big fans of it. And we are also big fans of Evolution. Earlier tonight, Super Smash Bros. Melee broke the viewership records as there were around 120K viewers online at the same time. Well, that record has been broken in just a couple of hours as Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has now over 140K viewers, making it the most watched fighting game in history.
The grand finals are about to begin now, and we’ve seen some amazing matches. Surprisingly enough, both ChrisG and Filipino Champ have been eliminated. Justin Wong, on the other hand, has managed to make it to the finals (after defeating the legendary ChrisG).
It will be interesting to see whether the final of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition will be able to brake Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3’s viewership record.

[UPDATE]
Justin Wong fought well but was unable to win the finals of UMVC3. The winner and grand champion is Flocker, so kudos to him!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
