Unity Technologies has announced the release of Unity 5.2. As the press release reads, the big news in this update is the arrival of Window Services. It provides easy access to Unity Ads, Analytics Unity, Unity and Unity Build Cloud Multiplayer, without the need to integrate them into a single SDK.
Unity 5.2 improves gaming performance with Unity Analytics; a tool via which developers can discover how games could runĀ better than they do already.
Unity 5.2 also provides insightful management of virtual reality, especially with its compatibility with the Project Morpheus. This means that Unity has been optimized for VR and AR (augmented reality) for Oculus Rift VR Gear or Project Morpheus.
Furthermore, Unity 5.2 features Unity Build Cloud; a tool that maximizes the flow of development by creating versions, automatically, on different media simultaneously.
Last but not least, Unity 5.2 now supports Windows 10 and Windows Universal Platform (UWP). A UWP application works on all Windows devices, such as phones, Xbox and PC.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
