Ember Lab has just released Kena: Bridge of Spirits on Steam. Kena: Bridge of Spirits uses Unreal Engine 4 and for its Steam release, Ember Lab implemented support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 2 AI-upscaling tech.
This is great news for all RTX owners as they can now use this upscaling tech in order to boost their performance. This will be crucial for getting a smooth gaming experience in 4K/Ultra settings.
As we reported back in 2021, the game could not run with constant 60fps on an RTX3080 in 4K/Ultra. However, and by using DLSS Quality, you can now get a smooth gaming experience. Naturally, DLSS 2 will also benefit owners of older RTX GPUs.
Unfortunately, though, it appears that Ember Labs has not fixed the game’s stuttering issues. Yes, this is yet another Unreal Engine 4-powered game that has stuttering issues.
Speaking of Kena, I also suggest taking a look at some mods for it. Last year, we shared some mods that offered better Ultra Wide support, added FOV, and replaced the cut-scenes with 48fps versions.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
