Sony has revealed the PC features for Until Dawn Remake, and has shared its official PC system requirements. According to the team, the game will support Ray Tracing on PC, as well as NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.0.
Until Dawn Remake will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. And, according to Sony, the devs have used Ray Tracing in order to enhance the game’s reflections, shadows and ambient occlusion.
To be honest, I’m pretty surprised by these RT effects. Since the game will use UE5, I thought it would simply take advantage of Lumen. However, it appears we’ll also have support for higher-quality RT effects.
Moreover, the PC version will have uncapped framerates, and there will be support for ultra-wide PC monitors.
According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7 4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 470. With this PC system, you’ll be able to game at 720p on Low Settings with 30fps. The game will also require 70GB of free disk space.
For gaming at 1080p/Medium Settings with 60fps, Sony recommends an Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT.
For 1440p/High with 60fps, you’ll need an Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT.
Finally, for gaming at 4K with Very High settings and 60fps, you’ll need an Intel Core i7 11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6900XT.
From what I can see, these PC specs are for the non-RT version. So, don’t expect to have 60fps at 4K/Very High with all the Ray Tracing effects on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.
Until Dawn Remake is coming to PC on October 4th.
Stay tuned for more!
