Now here is something interesting. The official Facebook page of Valve Software has just posted, stating that the company is still making games. While Valve did not reveal any additional details, we strongly suggest tempering your expectations.
Valve is well known for its Half-Life and Portal series. The team is also behind Team Fortress 2, DOTA 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. However, the company has been focusing these past years on Steam rather than on game development.
Now I’m pretty sure that a lot of our readers will say it so let me be the first one… “Oh my God, Valve is developing games. Half Life 3 confirmed. Left 4 Dead 3 also confirmed. They will be using the Source 2 Engine. They will be the best games ever.” Yeah… regarding Half Life 3… not happening.
We don’t know what Valve is currently working on. Perhaps it’s a new IP? A sequel to a beloved franchise? Or a new game influenced by the modern-day games like PUBG and MOBAs?
Here is hoping that Valve will reveal more details about its upcoming games sooner than later!
John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
