Blizzard has just announced that Warcraft 3: Reforged will come out on January 28th, 2020. According to the team, the game has been slightly delayed as it was originally meant to come out in 2019. Blizzard has used this extra time in order to further polish it.
Warcraft III: Reforged is a remake of Warcraft 3 that features both the original Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its award-winning expansion, The Frozen Throne.
Players will relive the definitive real-time strategy classic, with revitalized visuals and an epic single-player campaign spanning over 60 missions. The game will also pack rebalanced online play and a suite of contemporary social and matchmaking features.
For Warcraft III: Reforged, every character, structure, and environment has been recreated. The game will also have over four hours of updated in-game cutscenes and rerecorded voice-overs.
Warcraft 3 Reforged will also have an improved World Editor. The World Editor promises to set mapmakers free to craft new universes for players to enjoy. Existing custom maps will be playable in Reforged, and the editor will have countless new tools and features. Players will also be able to use the new matchmaker to find partners or opponents for traditional melee and custom games.
Lastly, Blizzard has shared the following image, detailing the game’s global release times.
John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
