Fatshark today announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has broken all expectations with over two million players from March 8 to December 31st, 2018. Vermintide 2 has Mostly Positive reviews on Steam and was one of the most optimized PC games of 2018.
Martin Wahlund, CEO at Fatshark, said:
“We are humbled by the reception of Vermintide 2, and the amount of hours spent on showing Skaven and Chaos who’s the boss. We want to thank all the players, and we aim to bring more exciting – and perhaps unexpected – content throughout 2019.”
Since the release of Vermintide 2 on March 8, 2018, there has been a large number of free updates. Everything from challenges to weapons and cosmetics, as well as seasonal events, double XP, and Night Mode amongst others.
Martin Wahlund added:
“It’s been a great year for Fatshark and Vermintide 2. During the last days of 2018, Vermintide 2 was part of a lot of ‘Best of’ lists, and we received several awards. We also want to tip our hats to the streamers for the millions upon millions of hours broadcasted”.
According to the press release, this year will bring a lot of new content to the Vermintide 2 players. Fatshark recommends circling March 8 in the calendar, and joining them for the one year anniversary of Vermintide 2, with streams, giveaways, cake, and more.
