Blizzard announced today that the seventh expansion for its internationally acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft, will release on August 14th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Blizzard also released a new trailer that you can watch below.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will raise the level cap from 110 to 120, introduce the Kul Tiras and Zandalar continents, add dungeons and raids, add warfronts (20-player PvE mode against opposite faction NPCs), add uncharted islands, and introduce three allied races for each the Alliance and the Horde.
Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, said:
“In Battle for Azeroth, the stakes for the Alliance and the Horde are incredibly high, and a player’s faction will have a more meaningful impact on their experience than in any World of Warcraft expansion to date. Whether they’re journeying to unexplored lands to recruit allies or fighting to secure war resources, players will redefine what it truly means to be ‘For the Horde’ or ‘For the Alliance’ when the expansion arrives this August.”

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
