Blizzard has lifted the NDA for their upcoming expansion of WoW and we are delighted to bring you its first details. World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will feature a new continent that will be 5x the size of Twilight Highlands, a new race called Pandaren, as well as a the Monk as a new class.
The game will come with 9 dungeons of which 6 will be brand new and 3 will be revisited versions of those currently in the game. There will be 3 raids with 14 bosses and 2 2 World Raid Bosses at launch. Challenge modes will be available for the six new dungeons at launch and according to Blizz, they are meant to be a little harder than heroics. Both Scenarios and Pet Battle System will be present.
There are now seven zones, up from five. This was done to add more content to the game and give players a less linear progression path so that leveling for a second or third time isn’t the exact same. An 11th character slot and AoE Looting have been added. A new talent system will be also available, as well as revised LFR loot rules.
Last but not least, the final patch of Mists of Pandaria will be the Siege of Orgrimmar, in which both factions lay siege to the city to bring Garrosh down and end his reign of Warchief.
