Square Enix and Bulkhead Interactive have announced that their WW2 multiplayer first-person shooter, Battalion 1944, is coming to Steam Early Access on February 1st. In order to celebrate this announcement, the developer has released a new gameplay trailer that you can view below.
Battalion 1944 aims to recapture the core of classic competitive shooters & refines the ‘classic’ FPS feel for the next generation. The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will focus on 5vs5 infantry fights.
Its Early Access version includes a base level of maps, features & content, with aims to expand the game’s feature list throughout Early Access. Competitive modes, weapons and rule sets are currently all being balanced live, with the game still under constant development.
The game will also feature cosmetic microtransactions.
