Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is free to play this weekend. From today and until December 19th, PC gamers can visit its Ubisoft Connect page, download and play this Assassin’s Creed game for free.
Do note that this is a “free to play” and NOT a “free to own” offer. This means that you can only play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for free during this weekend period.
In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players can assume the role of Alexios or Kassandra. Compared to its previous parts, Odyssey also offers a new dialogue system.
Naval combat also returns in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as players can take a ship and explore the islands of ancient Greece. Naval combat is more fast-paced, more closed-range and more intense than before. People can shoot javelins and arrows and the boats have very high accelerations so that they can be more mobile.
The game also comes with two game modes: Guided and Exploration. In Guided Mode markers will be displayed at all times and quest objectives will be given to players automatically. On the other hand, in Exploration Mode, the player will have to investigate the world to uncover targets and quest objectives.
You can download and start playing from Ubisoft Connect/UPLAY!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
