NIS America has announced that the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA has been delayed once again. The game was originally meant to hit the PC this September, however it was delayed due to continued efforts in improving its gameplay quality. While NIS America did not reveal any ETA when it announced that delay, we were hoping for a 2017. However, this won’t be the case.
NIS America now targets a 2018 release for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA on the PC. According to the team, this extra time will be used to further optimize the game for our platform.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is a third person action RPG in which players will follow Adol on his latest adventure and uncover the mysteries of a cursed island. Players will be able to change their playable character on-the-fly as they battle ferocious foes in lightning-fast combat. Players will also be able to rescue their fellow shipwrecked passengers and bring them to their village where they will provide valuable services.
Here is hoping that the PC version will indeed get a polishing treatment, and will not suffer from any optimization or porting issues!
